Connect it living with construction

Eindhoven is transforming through KnoopXL, one of the largest urban redevelopment projects in the Netherlands. Over the next decades, major construction activities will reshape the area around Eindhoven Central Station and Fellenoord, creating new housing, mobility networks, and public spaces. While the final vision promises a greener and more connected city, the construction process itself creates a different challenge: how do people continue to live, move, meet, and identify with their city while it is constantly changing? CONNECT IT explores temporary infrastructure as an opportunity rather than a compromise. Instead of simply redirecting people around construction sites, the project proposes a modular pedestrian and cycling bridge system as well as interactive design construction fences that maintain essential connections while creating new social and spatial experiences in the city.
