MELTED25, By Day

At the Behind-the-Scenes Exhibit you can discover the design process that bring films and performances to life. Featuring process material from the participating filmmakers and performers that will give you hints of the magic of the night. Come see props, costumes, puppets, sculptural film equipment, innertube tapestry, puppets, and much more. Open daily from 10:00-20:00. Free entry.

Everyday join different workshops led by young designers and Trash Club members whose practice centers around DIY culture and performance. Chantal Kluitman will be introducing you to a fast low-tech silkscreen technique. Together with Jo Lee, you will be unravelling the worlds behind a trash bag and discovering the keys of garbology. KRATER By NEP

What do you get when you melt the Trash Club and Stroomhuis-rebirth collective NEP together? The answer is obvious! A gigantic volcano erupting very hot DJ’s, bands and music experiments! Duhh..! Welcome to a party that has never before entered the Eindhoven-stage. An eclectic mash-up of crazy lyrics, danceable riffs and industrial beats: with Belgium punkband Stakattak, female DJ-collective Plakboys, Design academy’s finest DJ Josquin collaborating with synth-master Gioray performing a live mixing session, and more.

We won’t tell you everything yet, this is just a small taste of the lava. The real eruption starts at 23:00 sharp. The ticket covers a NEP button you receive at the entrance and take home after the show. No time to be cool, only time to be HOT AS LAVA. See you at KRATER!

MELTED was founded by Future Number Five, a DIY production collective created by Design Academy Eindhoven graduates Meryem Akbaba and Klara Branting Paulsell. This year the festival was handed down to a new generation of Design Academy Graduates: Erri Levrino, Abby Yang, Carlotta Salvatori, and The Trash Club- a group of designers dispelling the illusion that there is an ‘away’ all our things are thrown to. The Trash Club was a natural fit for the experimental and DIY spirit of the MELTED film f
