The worldwide production of clothing has increased to no less than 130.6 billion items in 2019. Less than 1 per cent of which is effectively recycled. The textile industry has grown in recent decades to become, after the fossil fuel industry, the largest polluter of our planet.
There is a strong call for a sustainable fashion industry among young fashion graduates, a sense of great anger in regards to the exploitation of people and the planet. Graduates want to have a say in the development of a circular and sustainable fashion
