About Vaderland

Vaderland (Fatherland) is a gourmet circular farm where you can genuinely experience life, with all off your senses. From their own land in Nederwetten, Joep and Lianne process their self-produced vegetables into pure and honest dishes. They interweave traditions from the past with today’s insights. In this way, they create a fertile environment where the earth is at the centre and people get nourished and inspired.

Designer Lianne van Genugten and chef Joep Brekelmans are building the farm from an iterative design process, in collaboration with nature. This means perpetual movement, fine-tuning, balancing and optimization, again and again. With respect and attention for what the earth asks and gives, they are developing a nature-inclusive farm. That’s also a way it can be done.

Benz at Kazerne

Designers are shaping our (co-)lives: literally everything around us is designed, in our daily lives and in society. In Home of Design Kazerne, we invite everyone to experience their added value. In the 2,000 square meters of exhibition spaces - containing a hotel, meeting rooms, design shop, a bar/restaurant with Italian touch and a fine dining restaurant with guest chefs - the worlds of wine, dine, design, art and technology hospitably converge. A new exhibition can be admired every six months, there is a guest speaker every week in the innovation café as well as regular workshops, design talks, matches and guided tours. Come to eat, come to sleep, to meet and experience the hopeful concepts, tangible products and inspiring scenarios for yourself. Welcome to the world of Kazerne.
