Prima kwaliteit wol van dit Rotterdamse schaap
Roel van Tour
2,500 cuddly sheep keep the grass short in a city full of modern architecture. Good for 5,000 kilos of wool per year. Christien Meindertsma looked into the quality of Rotterdam wool. What seemed like a worthless pile of residues proved to be a treasury of innovative surprises and valuable material.
About Gemeente Rotterdam en Christien Meindertsma
Rotterdam is developing a circular city. We're discovering how we can deal with the production, ownership and disposal of items and materials more sustainably together with colleagues, partners and residents.
Christien Meindertsma is conducting research into the lifespan and use of (consumer) products and raw materials. She’s also trying to regain an insight into the origin of everyday products, which people are no longer aware of due to industrial production processes and globalisation.
