The study program Trend Research & Concept Creation in Lifestyle is on the crossing line of design, creativity and futures. During the Dutch Design Week we want to show what possible futures can look like, explain visitors how to understand the needs of the now in the changing world of tomorrow.

Understanding changes in society

Understanding the changes of our current society is essential in seeing how the future can be. Our trend tours show how the designs of different designers make our future directions visible. These daily free tours help visitors get inspired about new developments, how the quality of live for people can be bettered and educates them in our possible future paths. Making changes in society and trends visible and tangible is our goal. We help to understand the changes in the current zeitgeist, by connecting the designers on the DDW with the trend tours and trend exhibition we created.

About Fontys Academy for the Creative Economy

The study programme Trend Research & Concept Creation in Lifestyle (TCL) within Fontys Academy for the Creative Economy in Tilburg teaches students how to recognize trends and use them as the basis for designing and creating new lifestyle concepts. This project is a co creation between students from different countries and backgrounds. They work together to research the different future paths and how they can better the quality of life of people and our society.
