BinnensteBuiten

We show ourselves from the inside and listen to what is needed from the outside

This project is now archived and was part of DDW24

Living pleasantly is about much more than just bricks. As Woonbedrijf, we embrace this challenge to make an impact on this topic. To truly make a difference, we need our tenants and partners. That’s why we turn ourselves inside out by listening to what is needed from the outside.

BinnensteBuiten (Inside out) is about transparency, collaboration, and opening up to conversations.

A large artwork will be created live on the facade of Woonbedrijf using window stickers. These stickers will be inspired by input collected through street conversations with tenants, partners and visitors to DDW. By adapting the glass facade based on feedback from the street conversations, we demonstrate that we're not afraid to look inward but also willing to change our appearance based on external feedback.

The future home-seekers

The home-seekers of the future will be the central theme of the large artwork. This group is often underexposed. That's why we want to understand more about how they see their ideal environment to live in. In addition, we are curious about their ideas on how we can design the future with them together. How can we ensure their voices are not just heard, but also have a real impact on Woonbedrijf's approach? With BinnensteBuiten (Inside out) we aim to inspire visitors, gather valuable ideas, and share them. It shows that our work extends beyond just building homes.

About Woonbedrijf

Woonbedrijf is committed to providing a pleasant living for all our tenants, understanding that each of them has unique needs. The way we execute our work is also shaped by their views. Our greatest challenge lies in having and maintaining a large stock of affordable houses. We believe that everyone should be able to live in a high quality home and in a pleasant neighbourhood.
