A statement against islamophobia and solidarity with Iran, Palestine and Lebanon.
Caro loves to create objects but they see an increasing need to position themselves politically in the face of ongoing genocide in Palestine as well as war in Iran and Lebanon which has been horrifying to have
to watch as well as the subsequent uprise in Islamophobia in Europe that occupies Caro´s mind in some capacity at all times. When they befriended Amir Hasan from Teheran while traveling in Armenia this conflict has hit even closer to home as it’s been impossible to reach him since months now. So when Caro had the amazing
opportunity to design and learn how to build their first ever electric guitar in collaboration with “Overload Custom Guitars” they decided to make it an homage to Iranian music, culture as well as islamic art. Thus the “HAMZA” was born with great power to protect itself against the evil eye.
Equipped with a microtonal fretboard, yet very much influenced by the Metal music genre at the same time, Caro hopes it will inspire more Middle Eastern Metal music and be played by many different hands abroad.
