Self-guided tours & activities
Explore Dutch Design Week through one of the DDW Young routes, specially created to inspire and excite young audiences. On a DDW Young route, you can experience and see all kinds of design, creativity, and technical innovations, meet designers, and even get hands-on with design at various locations.

Tickets
Children up to 11 years old can visit Dutch Design Week for free.
Children aged 12 to 17, or those with a school or student ID, can visit Dutch Design Week with a discounted DDW Student ticket.
The Student tickets cost €15 from 1 September until 10 October. From 11 October, ticket prices increase by €2.50 to €17.50.
For groups visiting Dutch Design Week with children or young people, there is the family ticket.
The family ticket is only available during Dutch Design Week (Saturday 18 to Sunday 26 October) at the door for €70. The whole group must be present at the counter to collect it.
Eligible group combinations are:
- 1 adult with 3 children
- 1 adult with 4 children
- 2 adults with 2 children
- 2 adults with 3 children
Children can be included on a family ticket if they are between 12 and 17 years old, or if they can show valid proof of student status.
Children aged 11 and under enter for free. Visitors aged 18 or older who are not students will need to purchase a regular ticket.
If your group doesn’t fit these combinations, you can buy individual tickets online or at the door (by debit or credit card).
As a school or educational institution, you can purchase tickets on invoice. We offer a reduced student rate of €15,00 per ticket. For every 20 students, you will receive one complimentary regular DDW ticket for supervisors.
Teaching Materials
Discover our specially designed lesson plans and worksheets created for Dutch Design Week - only available in Dutch. These materials help students explore creativity, innovation, and sustainability through design. They are easy to use in the classroom and offer engaging ways to connect education with real-world challenges.
Teaching materials are available for a range of educational levels and age groups, with options that include lesson plans incorporating a visit to Dutch Design Week as well as classroom-based activities.
The teaching materials are only available in Dutch.
