Project #77Teacups is a collection of 77 teacups: from the elegant classic teacup to the modern giant mug and everything in between. Seven families of teacups will be on display during DDW in the Schellensfabriek at Something Bigger, reflecting contemporary tea habits.

Seventyseven?

77 has a special meaning in many cultures and religions. This number represents, among other things, Resilience, Intuition, Awakening, Perfection, and Life Essence, and symbolizes the magic that can arise during tea drinking.

Rituals and togetherness

In almost all cultures, tea drinking is surrounded by small rituals and togetherness. Drinking tea together invites conversation, listening to each other, and connecting – something we desperately need in these times.
