Together with healthcare professionals from Brainport, we are designing a systemic approach to regional care pathway design. During Dutch Design Week, we will share this method and invite designers to join.

Workshop collaborative care: redesigning regional care pathways

From stakeholder management, diverse interests, pathways and systems that are not connected: designing regional and transmural care pathways takes time, effort, capacity and creativity. In the workshop Collaborative Care: Designing regional care pathways, the Design Team of the Catharina Hospital will introduce a methodology that has been co-created with regional healthcare professionals.

Through practical examples of collaborations between hospitals, general practitioners and other healthcare institutions, we take designers, project- and program leads and other roles in healthcare through challenges, insights and healthcare process design. By inspiring activities and discussion, we would like to gain feedback from the participants, as well as challenge them to enrich the regional transmural care pathway design process.

Our aim is to end the session with an enriched method, as well as share this methodology and experiences with our peers in the healthcare domain. Collectively, we can reshape healthcare by turning shared insights into meaningful, lasting change.

Note: the workshop will be in Dutch.

Who should join the workshop?

This workshop is for designers (in the healthcare sector), healthcare professionals, project leaders, and program managers who want to learn more about regional collaboration and care pathway design, possess information that can enrich the method, or wish to get started in their own region. Together, we can transform healthcare—by turning effective threads into lasting change.

Collaboration with Metro Mapping Foundation

At Catharina Hospital Eindhoven we use Metro Mapping to map care pathways. Metro Mapping is a service design method by which care pathways can be designed and optimised. Metro Mapping can be used to improve patient experience and help with clinical challenges, for example, around shared decision making, patient value creation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
