Design Academy Eindhoven’s Lecture Series and EUNIC NL create space for leading practitioners from design and beyond to share ideas, challenge perspectives, and open up new ways of working. Co-curated by the student-led Lecture Series Committee, the episode invites voices from arts, design, architecture, craft, education, humanities, and science into conversation with the Academy community.
On Fair Grounds connects EUNIC’s focus on fairness, equality, and sustainability in the cultural and creative sector to the needs of emerging creatives. Together, we will explore urgent questions:
- How can young designers protect their wellbeing in a sector prone to burnout?
- What does fair pay and fair collaboration look like at the start of a career?
- How do graduates navigate “life after the academy” while holding onto their values?
The programme blends student questions, practical info sessions, and a moderated panel conversations by invited speakers to both inspire and equip participants. It brings DAE students, recent graduates, and alumni into dialogue with European cultural perspectives, offering tangible tools and shared experiences to shape a more equitable creative future.
After the programme, there is the chance to connect to colleagues from DutchCulture, Creative Europe Desk NL, TransArtists, British Council.
