Game-playing Sessions: Our Future Is Somewhere Here

Game-playing sessions at Eindhoven Library, part of Dutch Design Week, facilitated by artist and designer Ål Nik (Alexandra Nikolova) Join a guided game-playing session to co-create a possible future scenario with a small group of five people. During the process, you’ll discuss how our past and present affect the future and what we can do now. "Our Future Is Somewhere Here" is a social, artistic game that invites players to create “future scenarios” by weaving memory and personal experience into dialogue on climate, migration, technology and care—opening space for shared reflection instead of conflict. The game was created by artist and designer Ål Nik during an arts residency in Nicosia, Cyprus. Her research delves into “future design” and explores how our backgrounds and past decisions affect our ability to shape different futures. The sessions are free to attend.
