What does your world of tomorrow look like? Colour your vision of the future on a piece of cardboard at Kazerne – think green cities, imaginary creatures or a floating museum! Then join us for a short walk to the Van Abbemuseum, where you’ll fold your cardboard creation into a giant structure.

Meet designer Noa Haim and hands-on experience her participatory cardboard artworks.

Meet designer Noa Haim and discover her impressive cardboard artworks. Together with her and other children, you’ll build a giant autumn structure in the Van Abbemuseum. First, draw or color your own pattern at Kazerne, then fold your cardboard and connect it to other blocks at the Van Abbemuseum. Step by step, a huge artwork will grow—one you can even walk through. Visit us during Dutch Design Week and experience how teamwork turns into art!

From Alaska to Eindhoven: A Voyage in Frozen Forms

The Frozen Forms, a six-month exhibition at the Anchorage Museum, explored the morphology of Alaska’s winter landscape. The exhibition and its hands-on educational resources embraced reusable materials and a DIY approach that reflects the spirit of the North. "Here in Anchorage, we really embrace the idea of design as a way of having conversations, as a way of engaging people, as a way of engaging communities," explained the Museum’s Director/CEO, Julie Decker.

Designed by Noa Haim / Collective Paper Aesthetics in collaboration with the Anchorage Museum’s exhibition department and produced at Labro Verpakkingen in Eindhoven, the project will come full circle at DDW 2025 this autumn. Built entirely from 100% corrugated cardboard, the installation invites visitors to wander through a sculptural environment, view it from multiple perspectives, and explore it through touch and play.

The modular system was initially created for MUDAM Luxembourg in 2020 to interpret the work of artist Charlotte Posenenske with school classes and the public. Since then, it has been used in exhibitions and more.
