A makers' collective of designers and artists creates a spatial and sensory experience in a high industrial living-work space on Strijp R, as a gentle protest against overstimulation and transience.

A spoon that moves slowly and thoughts that soften.

A small exhibition about the essence and meaning of soup, but above all an invitation to take a seat at the table. There is soup being served. Attention to the tasting, the time and an action that causes rest.

.There is the sound of cutting vegetables, the smell of cooking, and a unique soundscape that condenses the experience.
.There is attention to the beauty of the staging.
.There is a short film, an introduction, and guidance on the ritual of eating soup and serving soup.

Modern life is becoming increasingly easy. But the conditions and systems that support it are becoming more complex. This causes our ancient connection to the origin of, among other things, food, clothing, and shelter to sink further and further away. Clothing and shelter protect us from the outside, food from the inside.

But we all share the most fundamental food: soup, the liquid that surrounded and nourished us before we were even born. The salt content of amniotic fluid is 0.9%, the same as the salt content of soup that most people prefer.

Soup is a minimal food unit, in which body, environment, and memory come together.
