Overlooked Materials
(Re)Materialised reconsiders how materials are valued and perceived. What were once seen as flaws or waste , cracks, wet moulds, or discarded boxes, are reimagined as aesthetics, inviting visitors to rediscover the overlooked qualities and meanings within materials.
Experimental Methods
The exhibition presents three projects: Yeeun’s cracks in dried clay turned into patterns, Haejune’s wet moulds shaping translucent porcelain, and Euna’s transformation of unstable cardboard into solid, stone-like furniture. Each challenges conventions and reveals the hidden potential in what is often ignored.
Reconstructed Narratives
Together, these works reconstruct materials and their stories. By redefining what is fragile, overlooked, or unstable, the exhibition reveals new values and perspectives, encouraging visitors to see the familiar anew and to uncover hidden possibilities within ordinary materials.
