Inspired by the precise metal-cutting techniques of specialised small-scale factories in Tokyo—originally manufacturing tiny components for precision machinery—Tazoe reimagined their technical expertise in a new line of jewelry. In this collection, ornamental Heads can be screwed onto Base Rings, offering limitless possibilities for customization.
The collaboration became meaningful not only for Tazoe, but also for the technicians involved. Though they had no prior experience in jewelry-making, they were able to expand their expertise and uncover new creative possibilities through the project.
From Industry to Fine Jewelry
Created for all genders, Small Factory Ring offers its standard Base Rings in a broad range of nine sizes.
Since its launch in 2014, the collection has continued to evolve, introducing new designs and materials such as Akoya pearl, Itoigawa jade, and lapis lazuli, as well as an earring attachment—bridging the world of industrial craft and fine jewelry.
