R15 Series
The R15 series is a modest yet expressive shelving solution, available in various sizes to suit different spaces within the home.
A key feature emerged: a distinctive detail requiring a 15mm radius bending die. We explored how this element could be applied across a range of shelving concepts, from wall-mounted shelves to cabinets and coffee tables. The design proved highly versatile.
The name R15 refers to the 15mm internal bending radius used in the steel columns that connect the wooden shelves.
Dune Bowl
The motivation for this project stems from a fascination with the miter joint. We aim to elevate this technique by combining it with the kerfing technique and modern CNC production methods. In doing so, we hope to create new forms that are scalable.
The dune bowl is composed of single-curved surfaces, as required by the initial criteria. The shape arises from these constraints, resulting in a balanced design which feels logical to us. The product is, first and foremost, a standalone object that enriches its space. Additionally, it is functional and can be used as a bowl for various purposes, such as a fruit bowl, storage tray, and more.
Tercet Bench & Stool
The Tercet Bench and Stool illustrate how simple forms and repetition can give a piece of furniture a distinct character. The concept stems from the idea of reusing a single design element multiple times, primarily from an economic and material point of view. The robust crossbeam acts as a structural and visual connector, playing a key role in defining the identity of both pieces.
The Tercet Bench offers compact seating suited for a dining table or hallway — for short moments like putting on shoes or having a quick coffee. The Stool shares the same construction in a smaller form, serving as an occasional seat or a small side piece within the home.
The name refers to the visual and structural composition of the design: three distinct elements joined in harmony, much like a tercet in poetry. These pieces mark the beginning of our practice under the name Studio Tercet.
