How it Started
Diese Arbeit begann als eine Untersuchung von Gewalt gegen Frauen – ihre Ursachen, ihre Formen, ihre Folgen.
Während meiner Recherche stieß ich immer wieder auf denselben Punkt: den Körper.
Der weibliche Körper wird konstant als Objekt der Gefahr, der Begierde, der Besetzung, der Eroberung, der Versuchung betrachtet.
Dieses Bild – ursprünglich europäischer Herkunft – hat sich durch die katholische Kirche, das Patriarchat und die Folgen von Kolonialismus und Kapitalismus weltweit als Status quo verbreitet und wirkt bis heute nach.

This perspective links the expropriation of land with that of the body: both are occupied, exploited and violated.
