A collaborative project with Jo Sijen. The first ideas of working together and making the URN was born when Jo and I worked together at ECWC a few years ago.
Sketches and first ideas where developed in my studio in Iceland.
After work and experiments and sending ideas back and forth overseas the final decision was to use porcelain for the urns.
The plaster molds and models as well as a small series of final products were made in the studio in Einhoven. The idea is to show the different steps of the making process at DDW.
