A modern couch from Cargoland

Pierre Castignola

A living room made entirely in cardboard and packing material directly imported from a strange world ruled by shipping and delivery.

Order number : 5188465201843

Cargoland is located in a strange world ruled by shipping and delivery. Everything is in a constant move : objects, people and even buildings are shipped everyday everywhere. Therefore all these things are made out of cardboard and packing material so it's always protected for transport. In this room entirely made out of packaging, we take the opportunity to have a look at how do people live there and how things are made.

About JB Gambier

Working between material and digital, JB is always looking for fun as a way to research and create. By mixing fiction and fantasy with contemporary elements, he like to imagine funny and absurd situations, translated into scenographies, furniture and toys. These works, usually made out of wood, cardboard and scavenged material, showcase a simple, intuitive way to build objects by being assembled with tape, turning these simple materials into useful and playful objects.
