Folded poetry
Cleo Goossens is always searching for something that moves her, guided by a deep sense of nostalgia. She photographs the small, often overlooked moments that stay with her: textures, colour combinations, condensation on a cold glass of water, the way a shadow falls across a wall. Over the years, she has built an extensive archive of these observations, and in recent years has begun creating collages, combining existing photographs with newly made images to evoke a particular feeling more precisely searching for the right composition until everything falls into place, like pieces of a puzzle.
In this collaboration, Cleo's abstract photographs are given physical dimension through Oori Apparel's hand, translated into soft sculpture and folded form. Existing archive and newly made image fall into place together, and the two artists discover, side by side, a new place that exists somewhere between memory and imagination.
Landscape
Oori Apparel presents her first Landscape collection: an exploration of clothing not as garment, but as installation. Her practice begins from the moment a piece of clothing is hung on a hanger the way shirts, jackets, and trousers gather, overlap, and settle into rhythm on a rail, forming an unintended landscape within the retail space. Oori Apparel isolates and reinterprets this landscape, dismantling garments into their structural elements button lines, pleats, lapels, hooks and recomposing them into sculptural forms that scale from XS to XL.
Removed from the body and freed from the function of being worn, these garments remain incomplete, yet alive suspended between passivity and agency. Blurring the line between showroom and workshop, the collection repositions the ordinary architecture of display as a resistant, sculptural language, revealing the landscape that has always existed quietly on the hanger, waiting to be seen.
