The set includes a chair-desk combination, a floor lamp, and a cupboard. It blends traditional woodworking techniques with a more intuitive way of working with a self-developed “wood clay” material made from recycled sawdust.

The culinary term for combining fat and water, elements that don’t mix, is called emulsion.

Emulsify discipline and freedom is a furniture series that combines
materials, aesthetics and function that usually don’t want to mix.

The pieces are constructed with flat, straight-cut planks and a
sculptural organic woodclay material made from recycled sawdust.
Elements from both living and work environments emulsify to
create furniture that is both functional and sculptural.

two disciplines

Combining the meticulous craft of traditional carpentry with the
intuitive technique of sculpting in woodclay, this furniture-sculpture
series is both sleek and functional, yet playful and expressive.
