Milo & Saly are shaped by a simple principle: use only what is needed, and make every element count.

Through Assembly

The design of both pieces begins with the material itself and the way its components come together. Rather than hiding their construction, the objects make their connections visible and functional. Simple gestures such as bending, knotting and tensioning replace unnecessary techniques, allowing each material to retain its own properties while contributing to the structure.

Milo

Milo is a stool bringing together two contrasting materials: rigid steel and flexible climbing rope. The rope is not a surface covering but a structural element, connecting and tensioning the steel components through a series of knots. Inspired by alpine environments and climbing practices, Milo balances the strength of metal with the softness and tactility of rope.

Saly

Saly is a lamp built around a reduced approach to material and construction. A bent aluminium sheet is held together by a rivet and a hand-tied rope, without glue or welding. The tension of the knot and the flexibility of the metal become part of the structure. Designed to be disassembled, repaired and recycled, Saly leaves its construction visible rather than concealing it.
