Material Potential
Knetterdet explores how discarded materials can be given new potential and shaped into new design possibilities. For Dutch Design Week, the studio focuses on a single material: denim waste. This project begins with shredded denim, shaped into simple forms.
Form Exploration
These forms are assembled into diverse compositions, allowing the material to reveal new expressions of texture and structure. Through this process, Knetterdet develops a series of material studies and products that demonstrate how a discarded textile can evolve into a meaningful design element.
New Value
Knetterdet invites visitors to reconsider textile waste and see that materials often discarded as waste still hold new potential.
