A utopia is ambiguous: a blend of eutopia, a happy place you long for, and outopia, a nowhere that does not exist.
A utopia is unattainable, a dynamic image that shifts as the context changes. Yet it is precisely the longing for it—the process—that gives direction and energy. Each new design is a step towards Utopia, towards the place you can never truly reach.
Stories and Inspiration
For Aptum, that longing takes shape in endless sketches, models, and experiments with light. Their studio is the stage for this process: a workshop where ideas take root, grow, and transform. A space where models are tested and the magic of the making process can be felt all year round.
This year, they are opening their doors even wider: alongside their own work, other designers are presenting their visions in the space. Together, they fill the building with designs, ideas, and perspectives in which visitors can fully immerse themselves. The designers are present to share their personal stories and inspirations, and for those who look closely, there may even be a glimpse of ideas still in the making.
