With Wool: (Re)discovered, New Order of Fashion explores how wool can be embraced as a material for the future. Through exhibition, talks, and workshops, designers, experts, and visitors uncover the regenerative potential of this often overlooked material for fashion & textiles.

A undervalued material?

Wool is one of the oldest and most versatile materials we know. Yet in the Netherlands alone, over 1.5 million kilos are discarded every year, often burned or thrown away. Where the material was once appreciated, it seems to have lost its value with the introduction of synthetic alternatives. But in times where the industry is in search of responsible materials, we cannot let any resource go to waste.

Regenerative potential

Wool carries a renewable, breathable and durable potential. By nature, it can play a key role as we're making the transition to circular ecosystems. By revaluing it, we might uncover forgotten material aspects that help us design a future where fashion restores rather than depletes. In this context, Wool: (Re)discovered invites us for reflection and dialogue.

Discover together

For nine days, our lab transforms into a place to explore wool from multiple perspectives. Designers, experts, and visitors meet through an interactive exhibition, workshops, and talks. Together with leading partners such as LOADS Collection (by Claudy and Jesk Jongstra), Femke de Vries, and Lottozero, the program becomes a space to share knowledge, spark imagination, and collectively reimagine the role of wool in our society.

programme.hosted_by.about New Order of Fashion

With it's roots in Regenerative Fashion, New Order of Fashion (NOOF) is a cultural platform operating at the intersection of culture, industry, and policy. We see fashion as a lens through which to view, question, and reshape the world around us. Believing that system change requires cultural change, we use fashion as a tool for reflection and experimentation. At the heart of our work is design talent: with their imagination, they help address societal challenges and shape the world of tomorrow.
