Chairs don’t sit themselves
That’s why Bob Copray and Wannes Royaards are temporarily transforming Salon Veneman into a living room. Not a showroom. Not design on pedestals. But a lived-in space where objects, use and ideas about living come together.
Less, less, less
Housing shortages. Limited space. Scarcity. Yet we keep making, buying and discarding things as if everything were infinite. More new. More fast. More temporary. Forgotten again tomorrow. Sustainable living used to be fairly simple: make something well, use it for a long time and give it meaning.
Built to last, here for a moment
This October, Salon Veneman is filled with design that isn’t afraid of real life. Well conceived, even better made, surprisingly practical. And simply beautiful. Always with attention, weight and a reason to exist.
