ECHO is a curated design platform in which each edition focuses on a different residual material. For 01 ALU EDITION, aluminium becomes the starting point for new objects, furniture, installations and experiments.

RESIDUAL ALUMINIUM

WHAT REMAINS RESONATES

The designers work with aluminium offcuts from extrusion profiles and street lighting production. Rather than choosing a material from scratch, they respond to what already exists: its shapes, dimensions, properties and limitations.

Each maker approaches the same material from their own discipline, creating different objects and experiments from one shared starting point.

Participating designers (A–Z): Atelier Arjen Witteveen, Billie-Jo, Eenvoud Ontwerp, Frank Penders, Frederik Wasseur, Jan-Willem van Elten, Marc Th. van der Voorn, Ritsert Mans, 10-4 Studio, Studio Beeks, Studio Jeroen van Veluw, Studio Kars en Boom, Studio Metaform, Studio Wantia.
