This year, Dutch Design Foundation presents the overarching exhibition 'Designing Society'. This time through our new platform Coalitions: a network where designers, governments, experts and challenge holders use the power of design to tackle societal challenges and shape the future together.

Designing Society

Everything around us has been designed - from the homes we live in to the social systems we rely on. And if it can be designed, it can be redesigned. We are living in times of big changes. Together, we are facing crises like climate change, polarisation, and conflict that demand urgent, fundamental changes to our systems.

This exhibition by Dutch Design Foundation explores the power of design as a tool for change. By combining the creativity of designers with scientific insights, corporate responsibility, and political will, we can reimagine and reshape our world into a sustainable, liveable, and just society for future generations.

‘Designing Society’ invites you to explore fresh perspectives on possible futures. Discover how, together, we can connect the power of design to the complex transitions facing our world today. Join us in envisioning a world that not only meets today’s challenges but also fulfils the promise of a better tomorrow.

programme.hosted_by.about Dutch Design Foundation

Dutch Design Foundation is convinced that designers provide an essential contribution to making our world a more beautiful, sustainable and social place. We are optimistic but we also recognise the current issues and how serious they are. We believe in the forward thinking and action of designers and create space for this.
